Christ Church Preservation Society are looking for volunteers to help welcome and guide visitors around our site on Sunday afternoons between 2pm and 5pm.

You don't need to be an expert on the Church or its history - flyers and short videos are available to share with visitors who'd like to learn more.

All you need is a warm smile, a willingness to help, and a couple of hours to spare. Training and support will be provided.

This work is helping to provide an access point to a major historical taonga, The Christ Church Taita, a landmark in the History of European settlement in NZ, including school students and visitors to the historic Church, which was built over 160 years ago, and the oldest church in Wellington This is a non-for-profit undertaking supported by many individuals and businesses as well as Hutt City Council and the Lotteries Heritage Fund .
