The Makara Peak Supporters are made up of keen mountain bikers, runners, walkers and residents with a passion for Makara Peak and a vision to regenerate the native forest.

We are looking for some creative help with a campaign to help raise funds for the ongoing maintenance of the trails at Makara Peak MTB park. We have developed some ideas up of a 'Leave a tip for the trails' campaign that we would create some collateral for sharing on social media and the digital kiosk in the park, to encourage people to use the new donation station in the carpark on South Karori Rd. We would like some help with the creative material and advertising ideas.

Do you love re-arranging furniture? Do you have an eye for layout? Can you work to a budget and muck in to move things around and out? Can you be creative about sourcing resources to make your vision come to life? We're looking for someone who can help us make better use of our current office space in Wellington. Ideally we'd be able to use the main open plan space for events when we need to. Volunteer Wellington is looking to make better use of the space we have, and we need your help to manage and deliver the project. If we can use our space better we can host more events in-house and save on venue-hire costs elsewhere. Better design will also make the space more inviting and engaging, improving office culture and making those visiting us feel welcome. The Bhakti Lounge are seeking a creative email marketing expert to breathe new life into our Mailchimp newsletter and help us better connect with our alternative community. Either set up some great templates we can use or do them monthly with content we supply - we can discuss which you prefer.

What You'll Do:

Fence checkers help to maintain the biosecurity of Zealandia and integrity of our fence by inspecting the fence and surrounding areas. The role involves walking a designated section of the fence on the outside, looking for anything that could cause a biosecurity breach or harm to the sanctuary, and submitting a report.

We need volunteers who are prepared to make a regular commitment, for at least six months (and hopefully more!) who are physically fit and have an eye for detail. This role offers the opportunity to get fresh air and exercise, while being an integral part of the safety of our sanctuary. It is ideal for people living around our fence line or in the surrounding area.

Access to the sanctuary is not needed, so the fence check can be done at a time that suits the volunteer, on the day that they are rostered.

During the summer months it is possible to combine a weekday shift checking the fence with a normal work day but during winter, when the days are much shorter, it is not usually possible to do that, as the check needs to be completed when there is sufficient daylight.

With over 200 sailing members and 70 experienced volunteers, we sail up to 6 days a week from our bases at Seaview, Evans Bay and Onepoto (Porirua). Each sailor can participate in activities that match their personal interest and capability. We have 27 specially designed Hansa yachts and 3 support boats and operate with strict safety protocols.

We are looking for reliable crew members who can turn up on a regular basis to make a difference in people's lives. We have a range of roles include rigging (and de-rigging) boats, welcoming sailors, fitting lifejackets, helping people in and out of boats, sailing with clients and helping with lunch. Sailing experience is welcome but not essential.

This role is not available for short term mandated Community Work Experience.

As a Creative Workshop Host, you will lead engaging and inspiring creative sessions designed to foster self-expression, learning, and community connection. This volunteer role will help support our mission by assisting with transportation needs. Key Responsibilities: Ensure safe transport of individuals to and from designated locations.
