Since the beginning, Volunteer Wellington has partnered with corporates to get employees involved in their community. The programme has evolved over time, from the Corporate Challenge to its current focus on partnering with corporates to help plan and execute team volunteering days. We have a number of community organisations on file who are looking for corporates to help out.

Host Corporate Volunteer Teams
When you rely entirely on volunteers for your community project, a team of employee volunteers for a day can make a big difference to the workload.
Group volunteers and employee teams can provide meaningful support and resources for specific projects and annual events.

Corporate Volunteering FAQ
Volunteer Wellington charges a small fee for one-off corporate team volunteer projects. The fee covers the co-ordination and planning of a project this includes matching your team with host community organisation, communications, H&S, logistics, and a feedback survey to check your team had a positive experience.
If you're serious about giving back Volunteer Wellington can deliver a Volunteer Programme for your organisation with an annual partnership fee, reducing the cost and really being here for your team.
For non-partners there is a fee of $345+gst for each project organised by Volunteer Wellington.
We work with a range of community organisations so can offer a variety of activities to suit everyone. You can choose from conservation projects (e.g. working with environmental groups in Wellington green spaces), social service initiatives (e.g. sorting food and clothing donations), sustainability projects with a focus on recycling and keeping material out of the landfills, and animal care and protection. We share the list of volunteer opportunities once you become a partner or agree to the casual fee.
We recommend planning at least 4 – 5 weeks ahead. Some projects have limited availability and are in high demand while others can offer more dates and flexibility.
We recommend having a plan B date in mind for outdoor volunteer projects so that rebooking is easy if it needs to be postponed.
Start and finish times vary for each project depending on the community organisation and your team’s preference. A typical day might start at 9.30am and finish at 3pm.
Community organisations Health & Safety considerations affect the size of the teams that they are able to host. This may depend on the space available, tools available, and ability to safety supervise volunteers. We can advise you on the best activities to suit your team size.
