Adopt-a-Spot in Trelissick Park
Wellington
Trelissick Park Group is a volunteer group restoring the Kaiwharawhara Stream valley and Trelissick Park into a thriving native ecosystem. The Adopt-a-Spot programme is a flexible way for individuals, families, or small groups to take responsibility for a section of the park.
This volunteer opportunity involves adopting a section of Trelissick Park and visiting regularly to weed, plant, and maintain your spot, contributing to the long-term restoration of the park. Timing is entirely flexible to suit the volunteer.
What you'll bring:
• Physical fitness for outdoor weeding and planting
• Reliability to visit your Adopt-a-Spot regularly
• An eye for invasive weeds and care for native plantings
You might be a great fit if you are:
• Passionate about native bush and local biodiversity
• Self-directed and happy to manage your own section of the park
• Looking for a flexible, meaningful outdoor contribution
Training Provided: Guidance and tools provided by Trelissick Park Group.
