HUHA (Helping You Help Animals) is New Zealand's leading no-kill animal shelter, dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, rehoming, and releasing animals in need. HUHA is committed to teaching empathy and empowering communities to advocate for and help animals across Aotearoa.

This volunteer opportunity opens the door to hands-on animal care at the HUHA sanctuary in Upper Hutt, with departments including Dog Team, Cats and Small Animals, Wildlife and Rural, Horse, and Gardening, as well as general support roles. Various shifts are available from 9am, and volunteers are matched to the department that best suits their skills and interests.
