Lower Hutt Women's Centre offers a wide range of courses, workshops, drop-in sessions, and support groups for women, children, and teens across Lower Hutt. As a women-only service, it provides a safe and welcoming environment where women can build self-esteem, assertiveness, and parenting skills in a space designed specifically for their needs.

This volunteer opportunity involves facilitating and chairing the monthly Board meetings, working closely with the Centre Manager to provide support and governance oversight, helping shape the Centre's strategic direction, and acting as the key point of contact between the Board and Centre staff. A comprehensive handover from the outgoing Convenor will be provided, and the commitment is approximately 15 hours per month.
