BGI Challenge for Change (Wellington Boys' and Girls' Institute) is dedicated to creating a positive, inclusive environment where rangatahi feel safe, supported, and empowered to develop the skills they need for life. The organisation's inner-city Te Aro community garden is central to this kaupapa, growing food that nourishes both bodies and a sense of community connection.

This volunteer opportunity involves planting, growing, and maintaining the garden and compost facility alongside trained staff who set the direction and provide guidance. Volunteers contribute a couple of hours each Wednesday early evening, with all equipment provided and a hearty afternoon tea included.

What you'll bring:
• An interest in gardening, planting, or growing food
• Willingness to work outdoors and follow direction from staff

You might be a great fit if you are:
• Enthusiastic, reliable, and community-minded
• Happy to get their hands dirty and contribute to a shared purpose
• Warm and welcoming

Training Provided: Training and direction provided on-site by experienced staff.
