GirlGuiding New Zealand empowers girls and young women to develop into confident, adventurous, and empowered leaders in their local, national, and global communities. In Lower Hutt, Unit Leaders play a pivotal role in creating the fun, challenging, and exciting programmes that make GirlGuiding a life-changing experience for girls.

This volunteer opportunity involves attending and helping to run a weekly unit meeting during term time for one to two hours, planning the programme with girls and other leaders, and supporting camps, excursions, and trainings as needed. Ongoing training and mentoring opportunities are provided, and volunteers can expect a commitment of around two hours per week across the term.

What you'll bring:

• Previous experience with youth groups or guiding is an advantage
• Relevant leader qualifications (support provided if not yet obtained)

You might be a great fit if you are:
• Energetic, patient, and inspiring
• Reliable and consistent during term time
• Committed to the wellbeing and development of young people

Training Provided: Full leader training, mentoring, and ongoing development opportunities provided by GirlGuiding NZ.
