Governance Members - Secretary
About this role
Mothers Network (Te Aka Haumi Ukaipo) provides a space for mums to focus on themselves, connect with other mothers and have honest conversations about motherhood. We do this through facilitated discussion groups to create a supportive, safe space for mums to connect.
We are looking for governance group members to help us expand our impact and reach more mums. In particular, we're after a Secretary to keep us on track. - Support the Secretary function to help keep the Governance Group on track
- Contribute at least 5 hours a month in addition to meetings.
What you'll bring
- Prior governance experience is ideal, but more important is your passion and time to devote to this mahi (having experience of a Mothers Network group is a huge advantage, if you know you know!)
- Ability to work well in a team
- Commitment to action.
You might be a great fit if you are:
- Committed to the vision and values of Mothers Network
- A strong communicator and able to engage in open and robust dialogue
- Positive, with a good sense of humour
- Authentic, proactive, and hands-on
- Open to learning and personal growth
- Can drive, have access to a car
- Are computer literate and have access to a personal computer
Lived experience counts - applicants must be a mum. Our services are offered throughout the Wellington region, so we're looking for someone Wellington-based.
Time Commitment: At least 5 hours a month plus monthly meeting plus one annual strategy session. Minimum term of one year, no maximum.
