GirlGuiding New Zealand empowers girls and young women to develop into confident, adventurous, and empowered leaders in their local, national, and global communities. With a non-competitive, values-based approach, GirlGuiding creates a safe and positive environment where girls can discover their passions and build lifelong skills.

This volunteer opportunity involves leading Guide (aged 9 to 12.5) and Ranger (aged 12 to 17) groups in Lower Hutt, helping young women gain their Aoraki and Queen's Guide Awards through outdoor adventures, new experiences, and personal challenges. A commitment of approximately two hours per week is expected, mostly during term time.

What you'll bring:
• Enthusiasm for working with young people aged 9 to 17
• Previous experience with youth groups or guiding is an advantage
• Relevant leader qualifications (support provided if not yet obtained)

You might be a great fit if you are:
• Energetic, patient, and encouraging
• A role model who leads by example
• Committed, reliable, and safety-conscious

Training Provided: Full leader training and support provided by GirlGuiding NZ.
