The Land Information Freehold Education (LIFE) Trust uses Toi Whakapapa and personal storytelling — memories, art, family trees, and the stories held in backyards and kitchens — to help people explore their relationship to whanau and whenua, fostering belonging and empowering future generations.

This volunteer opportunity involves preparing for and facilitating online Toi Whakapapa sessions using video conferencing, guiding participants through course content in a culturally respectful and accessible way, and supporting them to share their personal whakapapa stories in a safe space. It involves a weekly project team meeting on Wednesdays, 11am-1pm in central Wellington, plus flexible individual task time and online session facilitation.

What you'll bring:
• Experience facilitating, teaching or tutoring, ideally online
• Confidence using video conferencing tools such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams
