The Policy Plug Coordinator
Wellington
Electrify the Capital is a major public expo at TSB Arena on Saturday 17 October, helping Wellington households and businesses explore electrification, energy efficiency and resilience. With the 2026 General Election approaching, The Policy Plug will provide a shared, neutral space where participating political parties can explain their policies relating to electrification, energy, sustainability and resilience. We're looking for a Policy Plug Coordinator to help organise and manage this feature.
What's Involved
Before the Expo, you'll liaise with participating parties, confirm their attendance and allocated times, make sure representatives understand the participation arrangements, and help coordinate displays and signage. On Expo day, you'll welcome party representatives, keep the programme running to schedule and help ensure that all participants are treated consistently and that the agreed participation protocol is followed.
What you'll bring
You'll be organised, diplomatic, confident communicating with a range of people and, importantly, able to be fair and politically impartial in carrying out the role.
You might be a great fit if...
You're interested in public policy and democratic participation, enjoy dealing with people, and are comfortable applying agreed rules consistently regardless of your own political views.
Induction and Support
You'll work closely with the Expo organising team and will have a clear participation protocol to guide you.
