Blind Low Vision NZ provides emotional and practical support so that people who are blind, deafblind, or have low vision can keep working and living independently, empowering them to live the life they choose. Members in the Porirua and Mana area rely on volunteer drivers to stay connected to their regular activities and social events.

This volunteer opportunity involves driving members to and from weekly Bowls on Fridays and/or a monthly social group on the second Wednesday of the month in the afternoon, along with offering friendly companionship during the trip. Petrol is reimbursed at $0.79 per km, with full training and ongoing support from the BLVNZ team provided.

What you'll bring:
• A full, clean driver's licence
• Willingness to complete BLVNZ's registration and onboarding process as well as training in Human Guiding, disability awareness and more.
