Recreation Volunteers (Wairarapa)
Blind Low Vision NZ provides emotional and practical support so that people who are blind, deafblind, or have low vision can keep working and living independently. In the Wairarapa, Support Groups and recreation activities rely on volunteers to help them run smoothly.
This volunteer opportunity involves supporting bi-weekly Indoor Bowls in Greytown and/or a monthly social group alternating between Carterton and Masterton. Tasks include admin support and helping to coordinate the session, all while creating a
welcoming and supportive atmosphere. Time commitment depends on the activity but will typically be two Monday mornings a month and/or one Thursday or Friday morning a month. Full training and ongoing support from the BLVNZ team provided.
