ChangeMakers Resettlement Forum is a grassroots NGO that walks alongside refugee background communities in the greater Wellington region, working towards a vision of New Zealanders from refugee backgrounds participating fully in life in Aotearoa New Zealand. For many former refugees, gaining a driver's licence is a critical step towards employment, independence, and community participation.

This volunteer opportunity involves mentoring and supporting former refugees in Lower Hutt to develop their driving skills, build confidence behind the wheel, and work towards obtaining their licence. Volunteer mentors must be aged 21 or over, have held a full New Zealand licence for at least two years, and bring patience, cultural curiosity, and a warm, encouraging manner. The time commitment is flexible and can be arranged with the programme coordinator.
