Duties:
Repair Cafe Trust brings people together to repair broken items, reduce waste, and build community connection through free repair events. This role is important because good administration keeps the organising group running smoothly, ensures decisions and actions are properly recorded, and supports everyone involved in delivering Repair Cafe events.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare meeting agendas in consultation with the Chair or Coordinator.
  • Organise and send notices of meetings, agendas, and relevant papers.
  • Attend committee meetings and take clear, accurate minutes.
  • Distribute minutes and record decisions, actions, and follow-up items.
  • Maintain orderly records, including minutes, contact lists, policies, and important correspondence.
  • Manage general correspondence and respond to routine enquiries as appropriate.
  • Share information with committee members and volunteers so everyone stays informed.
  • Support planning for the annual general meeting or other formal meetings, if applicable.
  • Help maintain administrative documents used for Repair Cafe events, such as sign-in sheets, volunteer lists, or reporting records.
  • Assist the organising group to follow its constitution, policies, and any relevant legal or privacy obligations.
