Death Without Debt is a national social movement working to make dying affordable for all New Zealanders, so that the cost of a funeral never adds to the burden of grief. Engaging the public in creative, memorable ways is central to raising awareness of funeral poverty and the need for change.

This volunteer opportunity involves organising a coffin-building race fundraising event, with the concept and most key details already in place, ideally in November 2026. If successful, the format could be replicated across the region. This can be a short-term commitment focused on the single event, or an ongoing volunteer opportunity for someone interested in growing the programme further.

What you'll bring:
• Event organisation or coordination experience
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage logistics
• Good communication skills

You might be a great fit if you are:
• Organised, proactive, and enthusiastic
• Creative and comfortable with an unconventional event concept
• Reliable and flexible

Training Provided: Details to be confirmed with the organisation.
