Technical Talks Coordinator
Wellington
Electrify the Capital will bring together exhibitors, specialists and thousands of visitors at TSB Arena on Saturday 17 October to explore the technologies and practical opportunities involved in electrifying our homes and businesses. A programme of Technical Talks will run throughout the day, giving visitors an opportunity to hear directly from exhibitors and other experts. We're looking for a Technical Talks Coordinator to make sure the programme runs smoothly.
What's Involved
Before the Expo, you'll liaise with speakers, confirm the presentation schedule, collect information about presentation and audiovisual requirements, and make sure presenters know when and where they need to be. On Expo day, you'll welcome speakers, introduce or arrange introductions for each session, keep presentations running to time, assist with audience management and liaise with audiovisual support when necessary. You don't need to be an expert on electrification technologies yourself — your job is to help the experts deliver a professional and enjoyable programme.
What you'll bring
You'll be organised, confident communicating with speakers and comfortable keeping people to a schedule. Some confidence speaking in front of an audience would be helpful.
You might be a great fit if...
You enjoy presentations, seminars or conferences and get satisfaction from keeping a programme organised and running on time.
Induction and Support
You'll work with the Expo organising team and venue/AV support, so you won't be expected to deal with technical problems on your own.
