Island Bay Toy Library is a cherished community institution that has been providing quality educational toys, games, and puzzles for families to borrow since 1993. From babies to children up to seven years of age, the library supports learning and play in the heart of Island Bay, Wellington.

This volunteer opportunity involves supporting the Saturday morning opening sessions from 9:15am to 11:45am, welcoming families, inducting new members, setting up toys, and maintaining rental records as part of a small, friendly volunteer team. Volunteers are typically rostered once every four to five weeks, making this a low-commitment but genuinely valued role.

What you'll bring:
• A warm, welcoming manner with families and young children
• Reliability and punctuality for Saturday morning sessions
• Comfort with a straightforward administrative system

You might be a great fit if you are:
• Friendly, patient, and enjoy being around children and families
• Community-minded and take pride in a well-run local service
• Happy with a regular but low-frequency commitment

Training Provided: Details to be confirmed with the organisation.
