St Vincent de Paul Society (Vinnies) has a long and proud history of providing flexible support to relieve hardship in communities across Aotearoa/New Zealand. Our shops help fund this charitable work through selling quality pre-loved clothing and goods.

We're looking for a reliable, physically fit Van Assistant to help collect donated goods and deliver purchased items to customers, working out of our Newtown base and travelling around the greater Wellington area as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely loading and unloading goods
• Assisting the driver with collections and deliveries
• Providing friendly service when interacting with members of the public

Skills Required

• Able to pass a Ministry of Justice Police Vetting check
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working as part of a team
• Physically fit and able to lift and move goods safely
• Positive, helpful manner when dealing with the public

This is a great opportunity to gain practical experience in logistics, customer service, and workplace health and safety while making a meaningful contribution to the community. Training provided.
