Age Concern Wellington Region Trust believes that older people should remain active, connected, and valued members of the Wellington community. For older people who need support to get outdoors, a walking companion can open up a world of physical activity, fresh air, and social connection.

This volunteer opportunity involves accompanying an older person on a one-hour walk each week in the Wellington area, providing transport by car to a suitable walking area when needed, and attending support group meetings. Volunteers should hold a current driver's licence and vehicle insurance, and be ready to make each outing a positive and uplifting experience.

What you'll bring:
• Current driver's licence and a reliable, insured vehicle
• Good communication and active listening skills
• Fluent English preferred

You might be a great fit if you are:
• Patient, warm, and encouraging
• Reliable and consistent
• Positive and uplifting

Training Provided: Details to be confirmed with the organisation.
