The mission of Lions Clubs International is to empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace, and promote international understanding. This is achieved through service projects and grants focused on core causes such as vision, diabetes, hunger, childhood cancer, environment, youth, and disaster relief.

Lions have a dynamic history. Founded in 1917, we are best known for fighting blindness, but we also volunteer for many different kinds of community projects - including caring for the environment, feeding the hungry and aiding seniors and the disabled.

Support Rimutaka Lions with communications, social media, and event coordination for Upper Hutt Food Week 2026. Flexible hours.
Serve as Treasurer for Rimutaka Lions in Upper Hutt, managing budgeting, record-keeping, and financial reporting. A few hours per month.
