New Zealand Red Cross (Ripeka Whero Aotearoa) is a humanitarian organisation with more than 9,000 members and volunteers, delivering community services such as Meals on Wheels, refugee resettlement, first aid courses and emergency management, all in service of improving the lives of vulnerable people.
This volunteer opportunity involves supporting membership and volunteering within the Wellington Branch — welcoming new members and volunteers, maintaining the branch's nominal roll and records, farewelling departing members respectfully, nominating volunteers for NZ Red Cross honours and awards, and helping plan volunteer recognition activities. It's a variable time commitment, roughly less than two hours per week.
