Land Search and Rescue WanderWell supports people who are lost or overdue in the outdoors across the Wellington region, with a dedicated Client Liaison team keeping families and agencies informed throughout a search operation. This behind-the-scenes role is essential to the welfare of everyone affected.

This volunteer opportunity involves supporting families during land search and rescue operations as a Client Liaison Volunteer, providing compassionate communication, regular updates, and practical support to families and agencies while SAR teams are deployed in the field. Training is provided before deployment, and the role requires availability on call.
