Volunteer Wellington connects people who want to give their time with community organisations across the Wellington region, helping to build a stronger, more connected community sector. Staying in close touch with member organisations is essential to understanding their needs and strengthening those partnerships.

This volunteer opportunity involves coordinating and scheduling visits between Volunteer Wellington staff and member organisations, contacting community groups by phone and email, managing a visit calendar, and keeping accurate records in the CRM. The volunteer will work closely with the Relationships Lead to help the team stay connected with members and support positive member engagement. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys organising, communicating with people, and contributing to a well-run community sector project.

What you'll bring:

  • Strong organisational and administration skills
  • Confidence communicating by phone and email
  • Good attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Comfort using Microsoft 365 (particularly Outlook) and learning a CRM/database system

You might be a great fit if you are:

  • Friendly, professional, and comfortable starting conversations with a wide range of people
  • Well organised, reliable, and confident working independently
  • Curious about people and community organisations
  • Committed to providing excellent member service

Training Provided: The volunteer will receive an induction to Volunteer Wellington, a briefing on the member engagement process, and orientation to Microsoft 365 and the CRM system, with ongoing support from the Relationships Lead. Training will take place at the Volunteer Wellington office during the volunteer's first few weeks, at no cost to the volunteer.
