Are you great at sparking conversation and connecting with other parents?
Plunket in the Neighbourhood (PIN) groups are friendly, casual gatherings for parents and caregivers to meet, chat and support each other. We're looking for volunteer hosts to create a welcoming space where whānau feel comfortable, supported and seen.
Commitment:
- Five weeks per ten-week term (10am–11:30am each week, plus set up/pack down time)
- Sessions are already planned for the year, so you'll know exactly when you're needed
Duties include:
- Welcome whānau to the session
- Foster a relaxed, inclusive vibe
- Encourage kōrero and connection
- Be a friendly, reliable presence
What you'll bring:
- A passion for supporting new parents
- Ability to communicate with aroha and empathy
- Kind and empathetic communication
- Reliability and good timekeeping
