Playgroup Leader - Featherston Playgroup
Hutt
Are you calm in the chaos, friendly with tamariki, and not afraid of a bit of mess?
Whānau Āwhina Plunket's long-established playgroup in Featherston needs a steady hand at the helm. Could that be you?
We're looking for a reliable, organised volunteer to help us lead our playgroup twice a week during school terms. You'll be the friendly face that welcomes families, supports our volunteer team, and keeps things running smoothly.
This role is perfect for a parent who'd like to volunteer with their child, using existing skills and gaining new ones (and getting a great reference from Plunket!), or a local retiree with a heart for community.
What you'll bring:
- Confidence leading a small team
- Organised and practical, with attention to detail
- Friendly and welcoming with parents and tamariki
- Comfortable lifting/setting out toys and equipment
- Able to follow Plunket and Ministry of Education policies
You might be a great fit if you are:
- Someone with a genuine passion for supporting parents and caregivers
- Understanding of the joys and challenges of early parenthood
We follow a pro-equity approach grounded in Te Tiriti, and we're committed to building a diverse team of volunteers that reflects our community.
