Salvation Army Family Stores are a great way to recycle clothing, furniture, household goods, toys and books, with profits from sales supporting local community projects like food banks, transitional housing and budgeting programmes. Our Taranaki Street store is busier than ever and would love your help giving good-quality donated items a second life.

This volunteer opportunity involves an induction covering Health and Safety and the shop's general systems, before moving into sorting and displaying donated clothing, then progressing to customer service duties including counter sales using EFTPOS and the cash register. Shifts are available Monday to Saturday.

What you'll bring:
• A reasonable level of English (other languages welcomed)
• Basic knowledge of financial transactions
