New Zealand Red Cross (Rīpeka Whero Aotearoa) is a humanitarian organisation dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable people. The Red Cross Meals on Wheels service in Upper Hutt supports elderly, unwell, and isolated people to remain at home by delivering hot, nutritious meals.
This volunteer opportunity involves delivering meals to people in Upper Hutt and surrounding neighbourhoods once a week or fortnightly, starting and finishing at meal pick-up points in Upper Hutt city centre or Heretaunga. Hours are flexible, and a petrol contribution is provided. A current full NZ driver's licence and a reliable, insured vehicle are essential.
