Volunteer Video Editor – Porirua 25th Anniversary Films
Wellington
Volunteer Porirua is turning 25! To celebrate, we're running a pop-up filming day where people share short stories about the impact volunteering with Volunteer Porirua has had on them. We're looking for a volunteer editor to help turn this raw footage into a series of polished short films to share on social media and screen as part of the anniversary celebrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Editing raw interview footage into 5–7 short films (approx. 90 seconds–2 minutes each)
- Creating natural, engaging edits that let each person's story shine
- Delivering finished content ready for social media by the week following the shoot day
- Working to a tight turnaround to have films ready for screening the following week
Skills Required
- Video editing experience (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar)
- Ability to work confidently with interview-style footage
- Good storytelling instincts and a quick turnaround
- Own editing equipment/device and software
Note on timing: Shoot day is Monday 17 August (Cobham Court Hub, Porirua). Editor needs to be available to start editing shortly after, with films ready for social media that same week ahead of screening the following week.
