As a Ministry of the Catholic Church, St John of God Hauora Trust models its service delivery on the healing Mission of Jesus Christ. This means offering hospitality, hope and healing to all for whom we care and to all who choose to work with us.
Our Mission:
St John of God Hauora Trust are a leading provider of disability, youth and social services in Aotearoa, New Zealand. We support people living with a physical or neurological disability as well as vulnerable young people and their whanau. In the North Island we provide residential and respite care to people living with a physical or neurological disability at the 40 room St John of God Karori, along with a community home in Upper Hutt.
Volunteer with us
Support planned activities for people with intellectual disabilities at St John of God’s Karori facility. Flexible hours, variety of activities.
Accompany the driver when transporting Karori residents to activities and appointments, providing physical assistance and reassurance.
Drive residents of St John of God Karori to activities and appointments using a supplied vehicle. Full licence and police check required.
