Through accessible programmes, events, and services, Age Concern Wellington brings people together to foster meaningful connections, promote wellness, and support older people to live fulfilling lives.
Age Concern Wellington is a registered charity providing services and support for people aged 65 and over in the Wellington, Porirua, Upper Hutt and Lower Hutt region.
Volunteer with us
Visit an older person at home for one hour weekly, sharing conversation and companionship to reduce isolation.
Visit an isolated older person weekly in Porirua or Johnsonville, attend support groups, and stay in contact with the coordinator.
Visit an isolated older person in the Hutt Valley for one hour weekly, attend support groups, and maintain coordinator contact.
Accompany an older person on a weekly one-hour walk in Wellington, providing transport to a suitable walking area when needed.
