New Zealand Red Cross or Rīpeka Whero Aotearoa is a humanitarian organisation, which has more than 9,000 members and volunteers. In New Zealand, Red Cross delivers core community services, such as Meals on Wheels, refugee re-settlement services, first aid courses, and emergency management operations.

Newtown Community Centre / Te Whare Hapori o ngā Puna Waiora is a busy and vibrant community hub in the heart of Newtown, Wellington. We have been an integral part of the Newtown community since our centre was established in 1977, working with community groups to develop and deliver initiatives that benefit the people of Newtown and surrounding suburbs.

Newtown Budgeting & Advocacy Service provide free financial mentoring services in Newtown and the surrounding suburbs to individuals, families and whanau, especially those who are facing financial challenges. We get alongside our clients to support them to gain control over their financial lives.

Newlands Resilience Group are bringing people together for a common purpose, to improve and enrich our community so that everyone may thrive. We believe that local engagement can improve the resources, development and connections in the hills where we live. We also believe that through this we can be better prepared for disasters big or small that impact our community.

Mt Vic Hub support the community and residents of Mt Victoria, acting as a hub for local services and activities. Mt Vic Hub hosts a wide range of events and offers a mix of services, publications and venue hire options to the local community.

Miramar and Maupuia Community Centre is a living thriving hub for free, koha or low-cost services, groups and activities, exercise classes, food services, gardening bees and workshops, various useful courses, tamariki and rangatahi activities, community events, and more.

The Lower Hutt Foodbank provides free emergency food parcels to families and individuals within the Hutt City community who are facing food hardship. Customers come from all around the Hutt Valley - from Petone to Stokes Valley, and from the Western Suburbs to Wainuiomata and Eastbourne.

WanderWell is a system that provides information and equipment to people at risk of going missing or getting lost due to dementia, neurodivergence or disabilities, and their whānau or caregivers.

Kiwi Community Assistance (KCA) helps communities throughout the Greater Wellington region by rescuing surplus food and household goods, and redistributing it to 90 frontline agencies working directly with people in need.
