To champion a community theater model for filmmaking, driven by the principles of Radical Accessibility, Manaakitanga, Kotahitanga, and Whanaungatanga. We dismantle financial and educational barriers so the community can cast from its own members to make art happen.
Our Mission:
New Zealand Film Collaborators provide collaborative filmmaking frameworks (our "Te Waka" model), access to professional film production equipment (e.g., Sony FX6/FS7 cameras, Dedo lighting kits, GFM dollies), and digital infrastructure. We also host community meetups, educational wānanga, and coordinate teams for events like the 48Hours film competition.
