Vinnies Wellington offers free, confidential support for people experiencing hardship across our community. Proceeds from the sale of items at our op shops go directly to supporting people in your community who are struggling significantly with the rising cost of living and the day-to-day impact of poverty and homelessness.

St Vincent de Paul, or Vinnies as we are affectionately known, has a long and proud history of helping people in need in New Zealand. From food parcels and clothing to help for new parents and older people, our team connects you with the essentials you need to get back on your feet.

Confidential, non‑judgemental & non‑religious support. Samaritans operates a 24/7 crisis help line. Our phones are operated by volunteers from the community for the community. Our volunteer Samaritans come from all walks of life. They are chosen for their personal qualities of empathy and commitment to helping people. Volunteers are trained in active listening to provide callers with the sort of support they need.

Lions meet the needs of local communities and the world every day because they share a core belief - to serve their community.

Lions have a dynamic history. Founded in 1917, we are best known for fighting blindness, but we also volunteer for many different kinds of community projects - including caring for the environment, feeding the hungry and aiding seniors and the disabled.

Porirua Pasifika Community Patrols (PPCP) are made up of volunteers who desire to keep Porirua City a safe place to live for all communities and whānau.
