Riding for the Disabled provides interaction with horses to improve health and wellbeing outcomes for people experiencing disability, or who have specific challenges or needs, enabling them to have meaningful participation in, and contribution to, their community.

St John of God Hauora Trust are a leading provider of disability, youth and social services in Aotearoa, New Zealand. We support people living with a physical or neurological disability as well as vulnerable young people and their whanau. In the North Island we provide residential and respite care to people living with a physical or neurological disability at the 40 room St John of God Karori, along with a community home in Upper Hutt.
Special Olympics New Zealand (SONZ) offers a year-round programme of sports training and competition for children and adults with an intellectual disability. More than 5,000 athletes throughout New Zealand participate in the 13 different Olympic-type summer and winter sports offered by Special Olympics New Zealand. Athletes are supported by over 1,500 volunteers and partners.
